As our favorite monkey was climbing around in the treetops, he happened upon an apple. The apple looked really tasty, and he was soooo tired of bananas! This apple was at the top of the tree. It couldn’t be from the poison apple stash, could it? He tried to resist, but throughout the day, Ed kept coming back to that beautiful, red, juicy apple. Finally, at the end of the day, he thought he would try just a nibble…… Bad choice, Ed!

As the day wore on, accusations flew right and left. It seems everyone thought someone else was acting suspicious. People began to get hungry, and snacks were brought out. The argument raged on until the animated sun was nearly set. Maybe it was because of the animated light, or maybe it was because he just wasn’t paying attention, but someone accidentally picked up the apple piece that put Ed to sleep and touched it to their lips. That was all it took to put them to sleep.
