    • The Bore is unmade and the DO shut out of the Pattern, only to return in some future Age through a newly drilled Bore

    • The DO is shut out and somehow rendered impotent from returning (Fain?), time continues to be cyclical, with Ages repeating as the Wheel originally intended, without the influence/interference of the DO

There has been a lot of debate about what will actually happen at the end of the series. It goes beyond the poll of what we would be most pleased with. So maybe we should open a new poll for this purpose?

 

Voted 'other'.

Not sure how Tarmon Gaidon would end.

 

Though the Dark One being killed I think can be ruled out since I take the Pattern needs both the Creator and Dark One to still exist.  Robert Jordan I take implied that the Pattern would still exist.

 

Belgarion Rand will stab Torak the DO with his sword.  Torak The DO will cry out to his mother (who will ignore him).  And he'll die.  :P
