Is the Dark One omnicient?

Does he know or see everything?

If so, why does Arangar/Halima free Moghiden?  Why not just kill her?  The Chosen are always at each other's throats and would rather kill each other than see another named Nae'Blis.

If Asmodean was offed, why not her?

In Lord of Chaos Demandred remarks how surprising it was at some of the things the Dark One is unaware of, almost as surprising as the things he IS aware of.

Also, if he is Omnicient, he would surely know how to win Tarmon Gai'don and break free.

If the DO were all knowing, I doubt the series would have gone on past the first book.

He also wouldn't need carrion eaters to do his spying for his forces.

The Dark One does know how to get free, only its not a walk in the park.

There's a belief the DO has tried different strategies in each age. If he knew exactly how to break free, and is omnicient, he would have done so by now. I think he has an idea of how to break free, but may never have the full knowledge.

See I dont think he is "all-knowing" or whatever, I just think being a timeless being allows his "brain" to hold much more info than humans, and that he knows enough about the bigger picture (what is outside the Pattern, exactly what he and the Creator are, etc) to know the nature of his prison. As in, how hard it is to break, and what can break it.

I have a theory on what the Dark One needs to get out. Cant say here though.

Moghie was summoned to Shayol Ghul IIRC.
