Are any of your characters modelled after characters from our own Dragonmount roleplay? I ask only out of curiosity since I noticed a few points of similarity. :)

well, my fried lyrellian did get the idea for the Band of the Silver Rose from DM. thats really the only thing that i can see. are there any others that you noticed?

There are other similarities. For example, both your Band of the Silver Rose leader and the original Order of the Rose leader are dark-haired, grey-eyed and sharp-featured; both are described as having a detached, distrustful streak; both have a short temper; both specialise in the same unusual element; both are Black Ajah hunters; and, as you say, the Band of the Silver Rose was derived from the Order of the Rose.

 

I recognise that some of these qualities are common or archetypes among Aes Sedai. I also understand that people draw inspiration and ideas from the characters around them, I do the same. It's a part of the creative process and unless there is malicious intent, which I'm sure there isn't in this case, I find it flattering that somebody liked my ideas enough to use them as a template. I just wanted to let you know that I noticed -- if you don't already know, I created the Order of the Rose and your site's character seems to be modelled after mine -- and anybody else familiar with Dragonmount might also notice. :)

lyrellian (the girl who created that character) is a good friend of mine, and i don't think she based it off of your character. she actually had that character from a different roleplay (but she wasn't leader of the black ajah hunters then). i think that it is just a cawinkidink!
