STAR WARS IS COMING TO BLU-RAY!

 

Lucasfilm's PR rep Steve Sansweet revealed on the weekend that a Blu-ray boxset of the six "Star Wars" movies is currently being worked on and the release "won’t be in the too distant future" he tells IGN.

 

Sansweet claims work on the set has been underway for several years and will be filled with lots of extra material including "all kinds of scenes from dailies that have never been seen before."

 

Sansweet refused to mention a release date, but The Digital Bits claims a rough target of October 2011 is on the cards.

Ok, after my nerdish enthusiasm died down a little, I realized I have mixed feelings.

 

I really don't like the new updated films with all the CGI enhanced explosions and shit.  So, since I'm sure the blu-ray versions will be of the newer versions of the old films, I'm less excited.  Although, I am excited for seeing Attack of the Clones on Blu-Ray.  There was some cool CGI stuff on that one.  Also, they will probably be ridiculously expensive.  Come on Amazon Daily Deals!

Yeha don't really care myself. 

The opening scene from Ep 3 will be epic on blueray.

 

Worth it.
