Hello from Wicklander

Hello all! I'm new to Dragonmount and "new" to TWoT (being that it's my first read through) I have read many fantasy books but I have to say that TWoT is without a doubt one of the very best. What I like about it is that the shai'tan (i think I spelled it right) actually has a presence in the world and can influnce it in many ways. He is not some kind of "god figure" that sits on his tower like a big eye (Sauron). He gets involved. He's motivated. I love the idea of Shaidar Haran (who is called the Super Fade in these neck of the woods) I mean, How cool is that? Bad guys were always my favorite.

Another thing that the story is starting to hint at is that the world was not always "medieval". It seems like the world was once much more advanced and the breaking has regressed everything. Another very cool idea.

Happy to finally be a member!
