Get PORTAL for free, legally, from Valve on PC and Mac right now

Featured Replies

But only until the 24th of May (i.e., get it now and own it forevermore, not that it will vanish from your hard drive on the 24th).

PORTAL is one of the best games released in the last decade or so, is extremely funny, quite short (about 3 hours or so), quite original and totally barking demented. It's also where that 'Still Alive' song that lots of people like on Rock Band came from. For the price of absolutely nothing, it's quite a steal.

Obviously Valve have reasons for doing this: they are publicising the release of Portal 2 this autumn (when it will also be available on PS3 and X-Box 360) and the imminent arrival of their entire back-catalogue on the Mac OS platform. But you can ignore all of that and just get Portal. For nothing. Like now.
