Perival Mantear

Does anyone else think that he might have some importance before the end of the series, when he spoke with elayne she remarked how clearly he saw the situation, and the odds. (CoT pg 332)

Well he was given a pretty significant Arthurian name so I'd say he might have a part to play in the next book especially if action centers on a battle in Caemlyn as many think.

He's a character we saw so little of, comparatively speaking, yet has caused such great curiosity. There MUST be something grandiose in stall for him!

I really do hope we see something stupendous from him in the forthcoming books.

I'm sorry who is this guy again?  I checked CoT page 332 and that area is just Elayne and Avienda talking about going to Rand when he's cleansing Saidin.

a young high seat, who says "They will not ride very fast in winter," Perival said quietly. And astonishingly, since no one had spoken to him. "I think that whatever we do, we will have to do it with who we have now."

and he was introduced when everyone newly introduced is either an idiot or a fool. all the other young high seat say how they have everything going for them, and how many armsmen they brought and other useless chatter

I'm hoping he will have a large part to play in books after WoT is ended.
