The Dark One starts killing everyone close to Rand in the last battle. Then Rand does his duel with him and eventually destroys him with Balefire causing him to get ripped outta the pattern then everything goes back to the old two river days?

No. For starters, the amount of balefire needed to kill the DO would destroy the world.

Rand kills the Dark One, destroying the world in the process, but in the process the Wheel is destroyed which causes the end of the One Power and the earth is rearranged with seven continents and the story enters modern history. Rand, because of his schools, allow the world to enter the industrial age and almost everyone is better off.
