Camelot [Showtime]

Featured Replies

Showtime is coming out with a new series based on the Arthurian Myths.  I know I'm excited.

Joseph Fiennes ("Flashforward"), Eva Green ("Casino Royale"), Jamie Campbell Bower ("Sweeney Todd") and Tamsin Egerton ("St. Trinian’s") have signed on to star in Starz Network's upcoming series “Camelot.”

According to the press release, this new take on the Arthur story will have Fiennes as the wizard Merlin and Green as the powerful sorceress Morgana. Bower and Egerton will play Arthur and Guinevere respectively.

Filming on the ten-episode first season kicks off in June for airing in early 2011.

I hope it isn't going to be based on the Valium and Estrogen infused Avalon series by Marion Zimmer Bradley.  And if they try to make another Tudors it probably will be.

I mean really the women in the Avalon series are worse then AS at their worst.  And the story seemed to center around them.

can't say i'm excited abotu this, i duno if they will make it liek Tudors, because they have that new Italian family shw comming out and have directly said it will be replacing Tudors  *siffles* of which the season finale is this weekand.

however i would be more than ubber excited for Showtime or HBO to grab WoT and make it a series :)  mush more so than if Scify or USA did.  and i agree, WoT would be much better as 1 movie (EotW) & the rest a series, or just as a series.
