So USC Football got a kick to the jewels today.  2 year post season ban, and loss of 30 scholarships (over 3 years). 

 

USC Basketball self imposed a 1 year post season ban and also voluntarily reduced Basketball scholarships.

 

Between the two teams dozens of wins were vacated.

They also took hits in women's tennis and a couple of other sports as well and are banned from contact with Bush and a couple of other players, including not allowing them to make donations.  I doubt the appeal will change anything.  It looks like the dynasty has crumbled.  I wonder if this will have any effect on whether or not Texas and the other teams will consider joining the PAC10.

On the upside, they became the first team in history to be national champions with an 0-13 season

That championship is also under review and most likely be vacated as well... I don't think the BCS will let it stand after USC vacated so many wins.

As a UCLA alumni....I'm not too upset about the USC news :P
