I figured if I was gonna replay I mine as well do so with some new stuff. Some of it was entertaining.

 

FFVI I downloaded off the internet for free. *is a large fan of emulators and roms, especially snes*

You speak to me of emulators as if I have no knowledge or experience with such.

That shows just how much I love them....

Anyway I finished building my Bomb the other night and now I'm working on finishing building my Rayquaza.

Nice. Hope it doesn't decide to self-destruct.

That was awesome lol I think they've moved on to naming a pokemon after every random word they come across.

It probably had a meaning in Japan before the name got Romanized.

Probably those little old shrine ladies with the gigantic peepers.

Name origin

Rayquaza's name is likely a combination of ray and quasar. Although Rayquaza's Romanized name suggests its Japanese name is meant to be the same as its English name, it could be a combination of 烈 retsu, violent or furious, 空 kū, sky, and 座 za, meaning seat or location. 烈空座 as a whole could be read to mean "one that sits in the ferocious heavens".

 

Basically, the English names suck.

Bulbasaur's Japanese name means "mysterious seed".

Reminds me of the mysterious seeds from Xanth.....

Was there a point in the beginning of the Xanth books where there was some semblance of story in them, or where they right away a loose framework Piers Anthony could then populate with groan-worthy puns?

Well it does explain where at least some of the nymphs that populate Xanth came from.
