normally, when there is a change of POV in the middle of a chapter it's made clear by just an empty space of 2-3 rows, but now and again there are 3 little stars in that space instead

 

for example, in TGS i found 2 instances of it.

one in the Prolouge between the POV of Tylee Khirgan and Granedal

and one in chapter 12 between the POV of Egwene and....Egwene

 

so waht are these little stars? what do they mean?

do they mean anything at all, or am i reading to much into it cause i haven't made a good theory topic in a while?

Don't remember the locations but usually if one of those changes occurs at he bottom of a page the stars are put in place to provide the cut from pov to pov.  Otherwise a space is left when the cut appears midpage, as usually happens.

i'm sure i've seen them in the middle of a page before, but that might have been a translated version so i guess it doesn't really count as it's not gonna have the exact same word-length

redarm is right, they're always at the bottom of a page, because you might not notice a space at the top or bottom of a page without them.
