I was re reading the series and couldn't figure out what happened between Rhuarc and Berelain. That and what makes the wise ones take so well to Berelain. Any ideas??

probably a very stern talking to by aiel standards, and maybe a spanking or two with the flat side of a spearhead. That's what I would do. She'd learn that aiel aren't afraid of very persuasive punishments

My guess would be that they respect her for the same reason I do. She's a talented young woman. When she was first introduced, she behaved as a spoiled brat, but she has improved since then. The Aiel probably appreciate the effort she'd put in as well.

I believe that she tried to convince Rhuarc to her way of things the same way she tried with rand, except Rhuarc was just like "I already have two women why would I need a third?" and then had a stern talking too about being sluttish. And then he adopted her as a daughter and the rest of the wiseones took her under their wing to prevent her from being brought in to ranes by a man again
