I'm currently listening to a lot of stuff.

Arcade Fire's "Neon Bible" - A great cd full of darker toned music.  Well put together, I give it a 4/5

The Script's self-titled album - Good album full of pop-reggae tinged songs.  Highlights "Before the Worst", "Talk you down" and my favorite "If You See Kay".  I give it 4/5. An auspicious debut by The Script.

The Avett Brothers' "Emotionalism - A folky bluegrass album that is outstanding.  The Avett Bros know how to create great songs and keep attention

throughout the cd.  I give it a 3.5/5

Various songs by Ed Alleyne-Johnson - A violinist composer, Ed started busking on streets in England and people enjoyed his music a lot.  He cut some cds and they are awesome.  He uses loops to great effect and switches between regular electric violin to a distorted electric violin and creates unbelievable songs.  I suggest "Orange", "The Oxford Suites" and his "Liverpool Concertos".  I highly suggest him to anyone, especially those interested in Violin or classical music

I just finished my first listening to Fever Ray, the solo debut of Karin Dreijer (otherwise most known as the vocalist of The Knife).

Awesome album. As I have only heard it once, I should perhaps not rate it, but I doubt future listenings will change my mind on this. A strong 4/5.

After one listening, it has strong similarities with The Knife. Hardly surprising, as she has one of the pop-worlds most unique voices, and she also contributes quite a bit to the song writing of The Knife. Yet, one immidiatly hears that it is a different "band". Mostly because the music is much darker.

Thanks for setting this up, Krak! I've been meaning to get one started for a while, but have been procrastinating! lol!

Anyway, I am on Last.fm at the moment, and the current song playing is Quiet Friend by Autumn. I tend to be tuned into the "Female Fronted Metal" radio or one of the groups of that genre.

On my second listening to Fever Ray, and I should update my rating to a very strong 4/5.

Once the album is over, I am heading out, and todays going-out tune will be

Lacuna Coil's cover of Depeche Mode's Enjoy the Silence.

Lacuna Coil's Version:

Depeche Mode's Version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vc52Dpo8QQ8

There is very little difference between the two songs, except that the Lacuna Coil version is probably slightly "heavier". I like both, but I think I prefer the original Depeche Mode version.

For some reason, I got a strange urge to listen to Carter USM, so I went through two of their albums (101 Damnations and 1992 - The Love Album.

Had almost forgot how absolutely awesome they are :)

Currently I'm listening to The Unforgiven II by Metallica.  What is there to say about this song?  A perfect 5/5 for sure.  The lyrics rock, the sound is just phenominal and all in all I couldn't ask for a better song.

I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE Unforgiven II Sir Jon!

*selects it and adds it to her playlist on her ipod*

Currently listening to "Everything Changes" by Staind.

Any Hip-Hop love on here?

At the moment I am trying to listen to a few Drake Mixtapes while keeping an open mind. This one is gonna be tough.

But at the same time those Slaughterhouse boys keep dropping excellent material.

I'm listening to A Tribe Called Quest's "The Low End Theory" and Swollen Members' "Black Magic".  Also Lil Wayne's mixtape Da Drought 3

I am a Midnight Marauders type of guy myself.

Can't go wrong with either of them them.
