Books 1-11 Recap

Featured Replies

I've just picked up TGS (kills me to wait for pb)and I'm finding myself a little lost. I searched the interwebs for a recap and came across a few links that brought me here. Further searching found a pdf file that seems to have been created perhaps a year ago (?) in the archives but the link is dead.

Does anybody have this file? As much as I should have re-read the books while waiting for the 12th book, I didn't and now I think I'm paying for it and I'd really like to catch up a bit.

Thanks a heap.

Tor.Com has an EXCELLENT recap of nooks 1 - 9 up in their ''Rereads'' Forum. ... The Commentary Blog is especially interesting and entertaining for the first 3 or 4 books before the author/LB obviously began to lose interest - as noted by the increasing number of delays/scheduling conflicts/missed deadlines/author vacatuons etc ... as well as the ever decreasing amount of material covered.

In fairness, she herself has alluded several times that she lost her gusto for it and it turned out to be a much bigger progect than she anticipated. Shes probably never going to complete the reread she signed up for originally - especially with TOM and AMOL right around the corner, along with the facr that she herself is, apparently, ''blowing up'' or however its put these days, lol!!!

Now, all that said, I was able to get past LB's often controversial and definitely 'unique' ah, ''style'' (always infused with her ever important message of Feminism) and greatly enjoy the job she did on the first few. ... Obviously it'll never be finished but it'd be nice if she ever at least got around to finishing Winter's Heart.

I just found this one and am working my way through that - was actually coming back here to add it to the thread. heh. I can't speak too much about her commentary - I'm not reading them. I'm already reading TGS and I wanna try to get caught up as fast as I can (I'll hope maybe she's finished before TOM reaches paperback - gawd that takes forever).

The previous reply (wotwikia) looks like something I'll have to try. Just reading the recaps from TOR makes me realize how much I forget - I'm gonna have to read them again sometime.

Thanks folks!
