I know this may be CHESSY

..and that's not just cheesy, it's irredeemably nerdy!!

LOL. I guess that makes me irredeemably nerdy too! 261 hours left to go until I get my grubby hands on ToM.

Oh, man, I realized that ToM is released on Election Day in the United States. So now I'm torn between fulfilling my civic duty to vote the Democrats out of Congress or reading ToM.

Although, I guess I can read ToM while waiting in line at the polling place....

why do you want to vote the democrats out of office?

And yep, voting day, heck, everything seems to be happening on November 2nd this year.

QBD The Bookstore. It's also on their website as release date Nov 1.

Forgot to say I just flicked off an email to ask them if there's any chance of getting it earlier. I'll let you know if so.

BTW: Dear all, be very careful what words you put in IdealSeek.. it has The Prologue. And prob Ch1 as well.

Drat. I really did not want to know that just yet!!

hey thanks a lot, will check the nearest one; 1 more week :P

Hmm, this time next week I will probably be really tired, having stayed up all the night before listening to the audiobook... I have found the best way to enjoy a new WoT book is to buy the audiobook the second it is available, and then buy the hardcover after I finish listening to it. Saves me from myself in that I would probably jump around and spoil myself if I had the book in hand, it's much easier to listen to it from start to finish. Plus it lasts longer this way, as listening to it takes a lot longer than reading though it as fast as I can (I wouldn't be able to help myself) would.

Hey GB, I'm in Sydney too and I've been promised that I'll be able to pick up my copy on Nov 1 (Fingers crossed). Luckily for me that's my day off and I'll probably end up pulling an all-nighter to try and finish it. I might just have to take the Tuesday off too because I don't think I'll be able to put it down once I start, my kids are going to have to fend for themselves :-)

do you which bookstore? i just want to know where i can find it on the day

Been 6 years since i lived in australia myself, but whenever a new WoT book got released there, i pretty much just walked into the closest Borders and picked it off the shelf. They always had it on time. Dont imagine you'll find a major city who doesn't have a bookstore with the book on launchday.

Yep big day here Downunder as well, Melbourne Cup Day hehehe LOL. It stops a nation for about 3 to 4 minutes. Everyone glued to the TV or the Wireless riding every meter of the course from start to finish. Early Lunch for us here in the West. So hopefully pick the book up on the way to work. Make sure you've paid your sweep money and sit back and read the 3 chapter.
