Tony Romo has a fractured clavicle... Potentially season ending..

There is an outside chance that he could be back sooner depending on where the break is... But yeah bad news no matter how you cut it for the Cowboys... Go.... Kitna??

I almost had to call in sick to work this morning. Talk about your lost season. You might as well stick a fork in them, they're done. If the rest of the team really steps up and plays lights out we could maybe go .500 with Kitna. Then again, maybe we find out that Tony isn't really that much of a leader and Kitna really does get them to play better. This season is still down the crapper. I very much doubt that they finish at even 8-8. I'm thinking we'll be lucky if we slip back to the old days of 5-11.

I'm with Hoppy on this. i think you guys store way to much faith in Romo, so this is probably a good thing in disguise. atleast this ensures you guys will get a good draft pick; i'd suggest investing in a new QB though.

Kitna might prove a more reliable player for the play offs. Romo never did well under the pressure of the play offs, so theres always hope  but yeah, ya'lls superbowl hopes are shot even more than they were by starting the season with 0-2.

aren't the cowboys 1-5 overall? not to kick you when you're down or anything...but even if you consider not going with romo if he was healthy... how much money are you losing in contract? doesn't he have 2 years left on this deal? Maybe you could call Kurt Warner hehe.

also, even if you do get a nice 1st round pick...do you want the hassle of a 1st round QB? overall proven un-reliable, not to mention pricey. And would you want him learning under kitna or romo? The only thing I appreciate about romo (other than the bobbled snap against seattle years ago) is he has a quick release most of the time. Very good on the slants. But, again is that all you want a young QB learning. So then i would suggest trading for maybe a denver qb. But who would you give up? I'm clearly not a dallas fan, so my ideas could seem quite murderous to you. I'd be interested in your input though.

IMO, I don't think it's a question of Romo being a good quarterback. I will stand by him through it all, he's an amazing quarterback and I do think he has the potential to be one of the greats. I do agree with Red in that he doesn't seem to be a very good leader when we need him and he has been known to "choke" now and again, but I think it's the coaching. We need to get rid of Wade Phillips. I think it's mostly his fault and I'll be super pissed if he's not gone at the end of this season. I believe that if we get a better coach we will have a winning season.

Anyway, I'll still be rooting for my team this year, but I'm not very hopeful that we will have a winning season with a QB who had 0 playing time last season. Get well soon Romo!

No matter where he broke it, he will be out for a good two or three months. Been there, done that and got the T-shirt twice!

Hey SamV, does that mean I was facing you this past week? I was really hoping Romo didn't have a career game, but I didn't wish thta on him. ;)

I have Roethlisburger, Flacco, and Bradford. Maybe we can talk trade?

Yup, Sammi, that was me. Romo brought in a whole 7 pts before the injury.

I'm picking up Chad Henne from Miami. He's done well and his schedlue for the rest of teh year is favorable for a QB. I would trade with you but no, Chris Johnson is not on the trading block.

Even if the break heals... he won't be taking a snap under center this year. They may have him practice to get his throwing arm back in shape. But he won't be seeing anything serious this year.

Urgh better find another wide receiver for my fantasy team with this news...

Thats Welker, Fitzgerald and Austin shafted now...

7 points is loads! I had Vick the week he got hurt...

SO far, my only WR that I can rely on is Calvin Johnson with Detroit. The rest are hit or miss.... Derrick Mason, Nate Washington, and Mario Manningham.

DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin were a real good tandem for me early on. Terrell Owens has finally started to get the ball. Welker got me some good points early in the season, but has been ignored the last couple of weeks, and I am about to release Jacoby Jones.

Well, at least it sucks a little less to be the Cowboys now. I liked Wade, but good riddance. It's time to get someone tough in there. Maybe Garret can do ok but I doubt it. I'm praying Jerry wakes up, takes a step back and hires Cowfer for next year.

I don't think Cowher wants to go to Dallas though, if he wants to coach at all. Dallas is known for having an overmeddeling owner, which a coach like Cowher doesn't like, and is most likely the reason the Big Tuna left too.

Though now ironically, Big Tuna is the Meddler now.. However, I think Garret sticks around. This guy passed on some head coaching jobs a year or two ago to stay in Dallas... maybe he knew Wade wouldn't last?

Yeah, I don't think Cowfer takes it unless Jerry agrees to give him a lot of control.

I think they knew they would eventually have to get rid of Wade so they paid Garrett more money to not take those other jobs and stick around. I really don't know if I believe he can be an effective head coach. Right now I just think anything is better than the way it was and at least this is a start to change.
