ToM Hardcover Jacket Sticker!

Featured Replies

I apologize if this is the wrong place for this, I wasn't quite sure where to put it as this is a rather unusual question...

Anyways I picked ToM up from Chapters Indigo a few days ago and have been gleefully reading it but there is one problem. The hardcover jacket has a nice big 30% off bestseller sticker on it. As I've been reading I decided I absolutely couldn't keep this on the cover or it will drive me insane.

Anyone have any suggestions as to how to take it off? :)

They usually peel off quite easily. If yours seems a bit more firmly attached, try running a hair dryer over it for a few minutes to melt the glue. That should do the trick.

I think it can depend on the sticker. The B&N ones come off quite easily, but I got TGS from Borders last year and I've never gotten that one off. But I'll try the hairdryer trick now.

Thanks for the replies guys, the hairdryer trick was successful and I can now go back to reading ToM with peace of mind!

You'd be amazed at how many things a hairdryer can fix.

No, that's definitely a towel.

Aw I thought it was duct tape. :(

Imagine if you duct taped a hairdryer to a towel; you'd be able to stand against the DO himself, Dragon Reborn or no Dragon Reborn.

I seriously hope Rand doesn't have to MacGuyver his way through the last battle.

More like to ensure it was never on the book to begin with.

PS: so glad I finally joined. Where else can I make balefire jokes? I HAVE to get my girlfriend off the True Blood books and into these.

I got mine at Borders and the sticker peeled of quite easily. If it doesn't work I'd have to second the hair dryer idea.

You should do what I do...take off the dust jacket until you're done reading the book. They slide all over and always end up beat up. I just store them in a safe place :)
