Best Performances Ever in NFL

Does Vicks performance last night fall into this category?

It was certainly his best performance ever but I don't think it qualifies as a best ever. I'm not even sure if it would make the top ten. Probably not even the top 20. Nothng against Vick but I think you could probably look at the careers of Manning, Favre and Brady and come up with at least 10 games that were better. And I can't stand the last two but am trying to be fair. This doesn't even count some of the greats that have played in the past.

his playing against the Skins was great, but i agree with Hoppy. it's the best game in his career thus far for sure (playing like that makes me say he's gonna take the NFC for sure) and maybe best play of the season right now; but he'd be more in the 20's or 30's for best performance ever imo.

I guess I don't know what more he could have done to have one of the best performances. Be the kicker too? I mean really, what do you people want?

Putting it in the top 20 or 30 or even 100 still makes it pretty darned great.

There have been a LOT of great performances, but most people will weight those a person overcoming something. Like they do with the Michael Jordan flu game, for example. Say, the game where Emmitt Smith rushed for 160 yards and caught several passes with a separated shoulder against New York in...I think it was the second year the Cowboys won the Super Bowl with that team. I think the Cowboys were playing the Giants and trying to lock up their division (but I could be wrong cause it's been a long time). *shrug* Not saying that's right or wrong, just that it happens. Further, there are people who have put up similar numbers in playoff games and those will be shoved ahead of anything done in the regular season, unless a QB puts up 550 yards on 40 of 40 passing with 6 touchdowns or something ridiculous like that; that's the nature of the way they rate these things.
