I've been doing the reread....so Perrin gets Luc with an arrow in the wolf dream but he isnt killed....who is he? Why does he look like Lan....he must be one of the forsaken and can enter the dream 'in the flesh'.....maybe this is answered later but I cant remember

Luc is Rand's uncle (his mother's brother), Isam (the other person who makes up Slayer) is Lan's cousin (he's the one who looks like Lan, Luc looks like Rand). He's an assassin for the Shadow, but not a channeler.

Just to expand on that a little more - Slayer is a combination of Lord Luc and Isam. We do not know how they became merged but they have the ability to enter TAR in the flesh. They can choose who they want to be upon entering or exiting TAR. That is why someone who looks like Lan (Isam) can be shot in the dream and someone who looks like Rand (Lord Luc) has the wound.

tahnks very much....so he's still alive then, I cant remember if he pops up later, but I suppose he does? Was wondering what happened to him as he didnt seem to die...seems a bit of an odd thing to throw into the story....

Lord Luc is Slayer and pops up a variety of times, most recently Winter's Heart I do believe. He is most definitely still alive and has a part to play in the story.
