Gathering Storm Paperback Formatting

Featured Replies

So, I picked up the paperback for TGS recently so it is easier to read in various places... but I noticed the oddness of the page formatting. The chapter icons are a lot smaller than in previous paperbacks. The WoT symbol that marks the end of each chapter is also missing. The chapter names and book title are gone from each page, and the page numbers are now centered at the bottom of each page. Spacing is wider and margins are bigger too.

I guess it isn't a big deal... but it feels weird. The traditional WoT formatting is maintained in the hardbacks, even in ToM.

What gives?

You can tell that the formatting is different since KoD clocks in at 315,000 words and is 837 pages, whereas TGS is 303,500 words and clocks in at a whopping 1070 pages.

So it has BIGGER font, then? I actually usually like that.

I wish... words are the same size, looks like it is double spaced though.
