I just checked for Taltos on Wikipedia. Is your name from the Hungarian taltos?

That is where the word comes from but I am referring to a humanoid creature called a Taltos in a book by Anne Rice; she just used the name of the Hungarian shaman because her Taltos have a lot to do with magick and Germanic/Celtic legends (and other things that you have to read the book to really understand hehe).
