The University is running two International Study Centres in the summer vacation of 2014. These courses will broaden your international and educational experience, giving you an insight into another country and a different academic discipline. Applications are open now - the deadline is 24 January 2014.

 

Cape Town - end of June/early July. Just over 2 weeks based at the University of the Western Cape focusing on 20 years of democracy in South Africa. The course will cover the apartheid years, bringing together a conflicted society and field work in a township. There will also be an African languages workshop and visits to Robben Island, District Six, Table Mountain and around the Cape.
