Eating less than an hour before swimming does not increase the risk of experiencing muscle cramps or drowning. One study shows a correlation between alcohol consumption and drowning, but there is no evidence cited regarding stomach cramps or the consumption of food.[206]

i feel i must point out that drunk swimming is even more fun than drunk driving, and legal in private waters.

*swimming*

i really want a pool or a pond. i would live in a one room shack with an outhouse to have a pool or a pond.

maybe i would even save some money.

remains to be seen.

It would have to be a indoor pool. I couldn't be bothered to clean it. And heated.

I could just have a cold outdoor pool too I suppose...

it doesn't cost that much to have it maintained, but it's not that hard either. i would prefer heated and at least partially indoor... but i think i'm a lot more likely to be able to get the pond. which doesn;t need anywhere near as much upkeep.

plus - fish.

so win-win.

my kitties don't go outside, and the kind of fish i would stock would be much too big for them to eat... and they like their meat, other than mice, cut up in teeny tiny pieces.

so... no.

bears used to come for them when i had a pond before, and the dogs would kill them when they could catch them, or by accident sometimes i think.

i think the dogs just paddled them to death... they were vigorous paddlers, and the fish were dumb. we rarely fished them so they'd get to close to humans and dogs and such.

mine will mostly be silver. and kinda brown.

and there will hopeflly not be snapping turtles.

or water snakes.

cause that would ruin it for me big time.

we ahve a lot of box turtles i think they're called. most of the ponds get snapping turtes and snakes eventually... my old one never did though we told the neighborhood kids it did to keep them out.

really miss it.
