why will it prove nothing, the process described seems pretty standard for bio, muscles tear from use, muscles regrow stronger because of that use, while your body is recovering it doesn't want you moving around too much or you will undo all the healing, hence the pain as a discouragement.

simple, basic biology it won't change much from person to person
