Hopefully some of the parents won't have to work, so they won't give their kids to us.

And while it shouldn't be TOO rough, I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing.

Early Childhood Education is my major, but I'm still doing mostly general education requirements.

The previous teacher left her general lesson plan outline, and where the class was at, but my boss actually wants to change things up a little bit.

But one day I hear, "Hey, how would you like to be the preschool teacher? I'll let you know more details when I have them."

I was supposed to sit down and figure this whole thing out with my boss, but she hasn't made herself accessible.

But I believe it was written with my boss in mind, because even after poking around in the preschool area for an hour, I still have no idea what some of the things are.

Like, there were lots and lots of songs mentioned that I've never heard of before.

And I didn't see a CD that looked like it fit the bill, and I am pretty sure I didn't see any posters with the words and a tune on them.

Although it might be a good idea to ask the kids if they know the songs, and they can show me.

/comforts mmeesh... good thing is, preschoolers are easy to amuse, and no matter how little you think you know, they know a lot less.

As long as you have a plan to go by, and some resources to back you up, you should do great. And if not, hey, they've got a lot of years ahead of them, by the time they hit junior high they probably won't remember whether you were good at it or not.

OK, that may not be as comforting as it initially appeared to be.
