wait re-explain that statement, there are eight people applying to maths in university? What does the college have to do. Why does three people having your name make you sulk?

Cambridge is split into colleges. At the college I have an offer from, eight people have offers for maths (more people have offers from different colleges). Chances are, all eight of us won't get in (grades n stuff)... So say only 6 get in, half of us could have the same name. Confusing :)
