I think we have an emergency candle thingy, meant to last a while.... A few lanterns, various flashlights, a food storage.... Although, apart from the food storage, I couldn't tell you where any of that stuff is at the moment.

Also, just finished reading Goliath by Scott Westerfeld. Like a minute ago. Totally happy with it. It couldn't have ended better, I think.

I've probably used Netscape once or twice in my life. XD

The browsers I've tried:

IE--Okay, but I'm not a huge fan of it.

Safari--Useful, but I've never really gotten into it.

Mozilla Firefox--I really really liked it, but then it started having problems on my old computer. I haven't decided if the problems were caused by too many add-ons and damage to my hard-drive and stuff, but while looking for an alternative browser I discovered...

Google Chrome, which has been my favorite browser since and I haven't gone back to firefox yet. We'll see how it handles things in the long run.

It's free, I'd say it's worth trying to see what you think.

i think i will. i've heard firefox was good if you know what you're doing, but i don't. some people say they have toruble viewing images w google, but i can always switch back and forth.

thanks, mmesh

I can't claim to know how these things work, but I think individual experience depends on the computer you're using and the types of things you do with the browser, so good luck. I hope it works as well for you as it has for me.

me too, fingers crossed

i always get nervous playing around with the computer, but it usually works out ok. it used to be harder to download and install things, but even i can handle it now.

Firefox is really nice. I liked chrome a lot when i tried it, but it was really buggy and it didn't seem happy with flash at all.

it just gets really slow and wonky and annoying. safari kinda installed itself cause i sold my soul to apple when i got the ipod apparently. it was a nice crisp image but slooooooooooow.

that would be why i don't use apple products. My soul is my own. Or at the very least not owned by the corperations.
