XD well wiv yoo peoples around there will always be fun! :D

neutrophils - which are like mini macrophages I think, anyway they get places before macrophages and are much smaller

Eosophils - Responsible for producing antimicrobial substances that can attack some parasites, also does some phagocytosis apparently

Basophils - makes inflammation and fever happen, which is a good thing because

Inflammation: kills off pathogens

failing that it confines the pathogens to a small area

increases blood flow to the infected area - more leukocytes, more nutrients to rebuild, replace cells

Inflammation has four major characteristics: Heat, Redness, pain and swelling

Fever: enhances the effect of Interferon (which inhibits the production of viral proteins necessary for viral reproduction)

Increases the production of T cells

increases heart rate so faster delivery of leukocytes to infected areas

speeds up metabolic rate - MOAR production of leukocytes, MOAR heat, MOAR rebuilding and replacing of cells

A fever is a temperature above 37 C, a fever below 40 need not be treated, a fever above 45 can be fatal

and lastly lymphocytes which form the 3rd line of the body's immune system (the specific immune response) they react specifically towards certain pathogens and may not be able to react against others. lymphocytes are divided to T- and B-cells. T cells destroy infected cells (cytotoxic) and B-cells produce antibodies which clump pathogens together rendering them useless
