Yes, my town has it's own power company so we are all back on. My parents live in another town. They have the power company that covers the majority of the state.

That's good. No chance of snow here in the next weeks, by the way. How many snow do you have?

It's all melting now, but I think we got about 5 inches. I think I'm going to go walk through town soon and see what it looks like down there.

Not too bad out there, just a couple downed trees. All the lights are working downtown. The snow is melting, I'm just thinking it will be an icy commute. I need to clean off my car if it doesn't all melt off soon.

*compelled to make bacon for dinner*

it's warm now, and everything is shoveled, and what's left will freeze slick for tomorrow's car cleaning and drive, and then it will snow again this week. and so forth. ad nauseum though may. we will have our crappy derby this year for certain sure.

Hiya everybody. Glad the snow didn't trouble you easteners too much. I always hated that slushy/icy mess when I was there.

um. yes, yes it did.

it still does.

it will more.

but hiya mr snow free.

warm enough, and always prepared for the worst.

new tires are for sissies. new snow tires are for sissies with $800 to spare.

i'll drive as carefully as ever, no worries.

gotta get some stuff done and detach myself from this machine for minutes at a time now...

ready, set....

and....

kinda gone-ish...

(water and toilet paper are the first things to go, careful with the candles if you have a dog, a camping lantern is better, and... ok now gone-ish)

We are stocked up on toilet paper, I think there is about enough for a month here. Just got dog food yesterday, so good there for a month. There are some bottles of water around. Teddy has always been fine around the candles during power outages.

Oh good news, my parents have power again!
