I’m studying American sitcoms but here be un example from a horror film study:

 

The horror film genre of the past three or four decades

“Recently, zombie films have made a comeback from their heyday in the late 1970’s through to the early 1980s. Thus, the zombie’s consumption of brains and flesh to live is paralleled by consumer’s consumption of products and services to survive.”
