Technology makes us forget the real purpose of our lives.

could be like humans losing humanity or the destiny/ purpose in a dystopian future, or possibly even better, stick with dystopian future but take the topic literally - make people forget who they are were

We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors.  We borrow it from our children.

Describe a really dirty gritty indutrial-type environment, standard pollution and poverty tropes here. Focus in on a child's birth and give him/her significance.

Possibly put a little sideline younger generation to older generation resentment for causing problems and moving the onus of dealing with the consequences to the young who didn't make those decisions.

so I fleshed that out a bit ago:

  • Get some atmosphere going, smog, unnaturally multi-coloured dawn/sunset from chemical haze, acidic air?/rain, factoring spewing out black smoke, generally grungy industrial type place.
  • Maybe in maybe out: Cut to some sort of air-strip, president of the corporation? skin all covered, gas mask? make him clean safe, high class, expensive, give it some juxtaposition to the surrounding (the clothes he wears, jewellery, watches, maybe the building he goes into - wait he has a private jet...)
  • Worker scene, overalls, grimy, in groups back from an X-hour shift? Give them sneers for those above and below them, they hate both - one for having what they never can the other for being below them - maybe I like ironic class divides
  • then we get to the bottom. I'm envisaging something like the valley of ashes in the great gatsby, people broken by the greed and carelessness by those with more money and power. Continue with your description
  • Then birth scene - pack stuff in here, saviour imagery? Taking back what's rightfully yours? Casting out oppressors, righting wrongs - I'll cover it well enough

Hark the process

If it makes yoo sleep better, turns out there weren't any spider babies :)

now I've just remembered. so no.
