I's prolly high on helium and take off into teh sky the next minute :P

hypothalamus = separate from the cerebrum, in the middle of the brain, controls internal conditions, body tamp. blood pressure, hunger, thirst, appetite. also controls part of the pituitary gland

medulla = continuous with the spinal cord. Contains cerebrospinal fluid which continues down the central canal of the spinal chord. contains centres for reflex actions e.g. breathing, heart rate, dilating/constricting blood vessels, salivation.

 

Conducts impulses from the spinal cord to brain and back again. Crosses them over as the go, .: the hemispheres of the brain control opposite sides of the body
