So on Friday I start house-sitting and pet-sitting for a family I go to church with...

Till the 7th I think

I have never been in their house nor have I ever met their pets

I requested that I be allowed to come and see everything prior to their departure

But the best I'm getting, apparently, is a series of facebook messages telling me about their pets.

It's all good information, and I can print off the messages or take notes from them; it's all stuff I need to know.

But I'm not really a huge pet person. I mean, I love pets, but I don't have a lot of experience with them.

And it looks like the ones I will be dealing with most are the dogs, and I am NOT a dog person.

But I've never cared for birds at all so that's gonna be fun.

So yeah I just...am a little put out because I think it would be REALLY NICE to be able to see everything before they leave.

I'm still holding out that they'll tell me I can come over around the time they leave so I can be shown around briefly before they take off.

 

 

"If anything happens in which one of them dies or the vet is unable to save them call my Grandpa or Aunt Jayne. Please do not tell me while I am on vacation. We have had a pet die before while we were on vacation and it completely ruined the rest of our vacation."

I do not want to deal with a pet dying while they're on vacation holy cow
