Courtship may involve displays (peacocks), special sounds (pigeons), or the release of chemicals (pheromones) (deer)

I likes penguins and their pebbles :)

yarr, seems like they try real hard

So when I propose to a girl I should give her a pebble? o.o

Yesh.

Maybe a pretty shiny one, possibly set in a ring...

just so it doesn't get lost as easily

Tbh I think I'd lose a ring far more easily than a pebble

I suppose it depends where you'd keep either one

I has a plan.

It involves glue.

Ovovivipary - eggs stay in mother, develop, obtain nutrients from the egg yolk not mother, then hatch, then are born

some snakes and sharks

lotsa glue?

I wonder if you could something like a diamond tattoo, like precious stones set into your body

though your skin would probably just grow over...

vivipary - young develop inside the mother, get nutrients from the mother through the placenta - organisms are active when born (most mammals - *looks at platypus*)

Funnily enough, the approximate amount of glue it would take to cover the inside of a ring

amniotic egg - egg covered in protective shell (reptiles, birds, some mammals). - consists of the amnion (absorbs shock), the chorion (gaseous exchange), the allantois (stroing wastes/gaseous exchange) and the yolk sac (food source)

Ovovivipary - eggs stay in mother, develop, obtain nutrients from the egg yolk not mother, then hatch, then are born

some snakes and sharks

I like that word.

I might try that instead of a conventional pregnancy.
