I wish I could have gone... in Portland, his favorite spot is on the wrong side of town, takes over an hour to get there. Two if I get there on-time during rush hour.

Haha, you guys totally have the Bobby Charlton Rose *nods, or did 12? Years ago (was it really 12 years?)

 

(I visited once - not to see the rose, that was just an observation in the rose gardens, which were near a Japanese garden, maybe, hopefully)

Yep, we have some rose gardens near the Japanese Gardens. One of those locations where usually the only people who ever think about  them are non-locals or schools for field trips. I've never been, but my wife has.

So many places are, I still haven't been in the local castle, or the 'smallest house in Britain' (although there is a practical consideration with that one as well).

Please help me congratulate DM founder Jason Denzel, over in the General Discussion boards, on the book series he just signed with Tor.

Interesting. I am pretty picky about my fantasy books... once you read it, I'm really interested to know more about it... might be worth adding to my endless queue.
