I'm saving my money to buy ToM. The paper back is not yet out and I don't want to wait for one year after the release of the book, like what happened with TGS. My question is, content-wise, is there any difference between the big expensive book and the relatively cheaper paper back version?

Yes, there definitely were a few corrections. I can't remember which parts were changed, but Brandon Twitted about it.

 

Also, if you're only looking for a way to read ToM, you may consider purchasing the ebook (you can then read it on a PC if you don't own an e-reader), or even looking for a library that hold it in the meanwhile.
