Points for nerds

Featured Replies

Solve for x and get points:

D2x + x = 0

D2x = -x

D2 = -x/x

D2 = -1

D=i

-1(x) + x = 0

There's no way to solve for X, since that equation works for all numbers (-X +X will always equal zero for any value of X)

Actually, D and X are having a torrid affair, so D squared times X + X is really like a scandalous night with D reflected in a full length mirror while he tangles with X and her twin sister, X.

Alternate notation so as to clear up confusion:

x''(t) + x(t) = 0

Oh. In that case, x=7

I didn't understand any of that and it gave me a headache even reading it. I can safely say I'm not a nerd. (I'm a dork)

Yeah, I took Pre-Calc last semester. I promptly started failing the course, and wound up failing the semester, even after being transfered to a lower math. Whoops. :tongue: I traded my math class in for a Sign Language class this semester, though, which is good because I have no brain for the maths, yes.
