Well hello guys!

 

Obviously I'm new! My name is Rose, I'm 25, I'm a silly French Canadian (apologies in advance for my bad English) and I've discovered the WoT only recently. I started reading the series 3 months ago and I'm already finished and awaiting AMoL! Some might say I read a bit too fast. I disagree; I think the series was way too addictive to stop reading it xD I need to start it again soon though...

 

My favorite male characters are Mat, Perrin, and... don't kill me.... Gawyn? xDDD I have noticed that people on this board don't really like him. Well, I can understand. Actually, I have no valid reason to like him. It's just that the way I picture him in my head, physically speaking, he is extremely sexy xDDDD So I love it when he's around in a chapter. But that is all xDDD PLEASE DON'T KILL ME!! What can you do, I am a girl, and I like sexy guys. (especially when they look like my love interest, but AHEM.)

 

My favorite female characters, eeeeeh... I don't know, really. All the women annoy the hell out of me in this series, I can't relate to any of them =/ Nynaeve has become a lot more cool than before though, so maybe I'll go with her. Heck, she claws Lan's back when they have sex, so she's got to be cool. =P

 

I don't really know what else to say, eeeeerm, I like metal music, I like to read (obviously), watch movies, write stories, playing video games... I also love languages, and I've had a fun time trying to figure out how the Old Tongue works in WoT =)

    Welcome to DM, Rose! We have quite a few Canadians on here, though I don't know how many of them are French speaking. Your English is excellent, btw!

    Oh man ... how to describe how we work ... yikes. Ok firstly, we're divided into roughly 3 areas:

    Social Groups

    Role Playing Groups

    Discussion Groups

     

    The Social & Role Playing Groups have roughly the same "sub-groups" as in the Books, for instance White Tower, Black Tower, Kin, Aiel, Wolfkin, etc.

     

    If you want to find out more about the Role Playing, then I'd advise you to go here and read all the pinned topics. You can then make a thread there for further advise, etc. You can have up to 3 characters in each sub-group there.

     

    At the social side, everyone has "public" boards which you can check out and even interact in. I'd say go around and have a look at them all, and if any grab your attention and make you go "man I like what's happening here", then follow their procedures to join up.

     

    You can belong to as many Social Groups as you want to, just as you can belong to as many RP Groups as you want to. And you can belong to both as well ... lol

     

    Start out small, though, or you'll over-extend yourself easily.

     

    And ask ask ask :biggrin: No question is too stupid.

    Thank you so much! I had read a few topics about groups, but I was still lost xD Well, still am, but I guess I'll figure it all out sooner or later. But geez, this place is HUGE O_O It's the Tower of Ghenjei! :ohmy: Oh well, I'll manage xD

Randland's greatest fighting machine is always on the look out for new Recruits. I can give you the paperwork to sign here and now if you want me to! :wink:
