Will Demandred smile?

Featured Replies

If I remember correctly, Demandred said earlier in the series that he'd only smile when he killed Rand. Will he kill Rand? And if so how do you think it's gonna happen?

I get the feeling that Demandred's going to run into some other Light-sided person and meet his end that way. If he does actually get a chance to kill Rand, I think he'll start smiling before he gets the kill, and then get killed himself with a smile on his face.

haha I could see him thinking he killed Rand then starting to smile as Logain or someone blasts him with a fireball.... Or of course balefire

I can see his stoic facade cracking when he proves to be ticklish.

With so much about him being arch nemisis of LTT, im thinking there will be a showdown with Rand. (or hoping, anyway)

I think he will do 1 of 2 things.

1. Kill Rand, as per prophecy, and smile, then be killed soon afterwards, with Rand comming back to win for light. (or, a crazy theory of mine, Demandred kills LTT, and he realizes, "well, that wasnt as great as I thought, why the hell did i turn to shadow because of that?" and turn back to light, dying shortly afterwards)

2. As mentioned, he thinks he has killed Rand, then dies smiling with a balefire to the face.
