Sweden - catchy tune, gonna get suck in ur head

Estonia - catchy cheesy tune with magic thrown in, nice

Greece - the rap part is rubbish, they other guy is good singer, dont think they work well together

Russia - the singer guy creeps me out, the song feels like early 90's pop

Sweden - catchy tune, gonna get suck in ur head

As shown by my flatmate whistling the song!

6. Ireland - Lipstick performed by Jedward

- *cringes*

- and the backing singer(s) is/are still more powerful that either of the two twins...

- though it is a better performance than the semi-final, so credit to them for that

- why do I have a feeling douze pointe will be going to Ireland from the UK?

- why are the crowd cheering?

- I think you must be high on something to like that...

7. Sweden - Popular performed by Eric Saade

- can this be better than the semi-final, which was poor?

- does Eric look like Tyler Evans from V?

- a Michael Jackson glove!...and more red jackets

- And I won't be popular might be better lyrics

- losses the power in his vocals during the chorus

- and time for some unnecessary vandalism!

- um...no...doesn't do anything for me

8. Estonia - Rockefeller Street performed by Getter Jaani

- time for another supposed favourite...

- she does seem a bit toneless and flat at times

- and those dancers look creepy when peering around from boxes!

- the song has promise if the vocals were better

- but I am still torn whether I like the song or not

9. Greece - Watch My Dance performed by Loukas Giorkas feat. Stereo Mike

- at least Greece are safe in the knowledge we won't bankrupt them even more!

- Loukas isn't a bad singer

- but the "rap" part ruins the song

- and the music is very Greek in feel

10. Russia - Get You performed by Alexey Vorobyov

- the guy is changing his name to Alex Sparrow after the show for the international market...

- a very polished performance

- Eric from Sweden - that is how you should have performed

- good strong vocals so far

- hands up if you want a flashing screen on your back?

- a good song, so maybe a challenger...

Time for the favourite, France. But is it too early in the show?

I don't think it matters when France perfprms. It is a good song, and a great singer, but the style has never worked in ESC.

France - not bad, classical music not my thing though

Italy - very jazzy, dont think the singer guy is the best singer, but like the live brass dont get these much in songs theses days

Switzerland * very chilled, laid back song, good to listen to on a lazy sun morn

uk - decent song, though the music seem louder than the singing in parts, makes its hard to hear whats going on

Can´t believe I missed France. Can´t obviously do two things at the same time...

Blue have a catchy song but I´m a little bit disappointed. +1 for big idol pictures of themself on scen though.

11. France - Sognu performed by Amaury Vassili

- time for the favourite

- love the backgrounds - though isn't the red sunset from a Windows screensaver?

- very simplistic...

- ...and very powerful

- beautiful

- not quite a huge cheer as Finland, I feel

12. Italy - Madness of Love performed by Raphael Gualazzi

- time for some jazz, which never seems to do well

- not a bad song

- probably is lost in the Eurovision Song Contest

- quite a good song!

- crowd liked it

13. Switzerland - In Love for a While performed by Anna Rossinelli

- she used to busk in the streets

- a potential dark horse

- another song that makes you sway *so sways*

- though those "nah nah nah"'s still annoy me

- good strong vocals

- my only grudge against the song is the "nah nah nah" part

- catchy music and beat

14. United Kingdom - I Can performed by Blue

- how big was that cheer?

- Come on Blue! (whoever thought I would say that?)

- I do feel that is a good song

- definitely got stronger as the song went on

- much better than last year's tripe

- and another loud cheer!

15. Moldova - So Lucky performed by Zdob ÅŸi Zdub

- Europe, why did you send this through?

- a group of singing garden gnomes

- it is bound to get a 12 points from one of its neighbours...

- oh, and the unicycling gnome!

Germany, bloody hell. Worked a lot better live than i thought. Still, not quite Eurovision, so it Might have a tough time. But, best song of them all.

Germany - me like!

Same here...but I doubt we will be returning to Germany next year

Moldova - weird hats and a unicycle, the song its self isnt bad very beasty boys at the beginning

Germany - dont like the dancers in the background freak me out, the song itself good

Romania - not bad seems very Michael Buble/wedding singer like

Austria - good singer, but not liking the song itself

16. Germany - Taken by a Stranger performed by Lena

- time for the defending champion, so will we be coming back to Germany next year?

- feels like a darker version of last year's winner...

- that beat gets a bit annoying after a while

- Satellite was a far superior song for Eurovision

- but this is still a good song

- I do think Lena is a good artist

- but I don't think we will be coming back to Germany next year despite the cheering!

17. Romania - Change performed by Hotel FM

- the UK's back up vote

- upbeat feel to the song

- but nothing compared to last year's song from Romania (which I backed)

- didn't do much for me, despite a good performance

18. Austria - The Secret Is Love performed by Nadine Beiler

- I feel this is another dark horse along with Switzerland

- (power) ballad time

- good range of vocals

- nice, clean, crisp performance

- I do like

- massive cheer (biggest except for Germany's Lena)

- 18 is a good position to be performing...

19. Azerbaijan - Running Scared performed by Ell and Nikki

- my favourite!

- more UK interest, as Nikki lives in London

- beautiful, beautiful song

- catchy chorus

- lots of leg on show from the backing singers and Nikki - I like! (despite the lack, best of the night so far!)

- but as Maj said, the chemistry just isn't there for the duet

- since 2008, when Azerbaijan entered, they have been in the top 10 every time

20. Slovenia - No One performed by Maja Keuc

- Slovenia's answer to Christina Aguilera

- and what song does it sound like?

- she does have good vocals

- a good performance

Azerbaijan - good singers though very musical style song

Slovenia - weird looking dress, good singer, the song itself not bad

Iceland - good song, catchy but seem like they would do well as a band singing at weddings

Spain - no idea what shes saying but the beat is catchy

Question:

What does Sweden, Russia and Azerbadjan have in common?

Answer:

Swedish songwriters, swedish back up singers, swedish coregraphy and swedish designed clothes.

Anyway... (Why am I suddenly so nationalistic?)

I agree with you that Azerbadjan is great. (But chemestry could absolutely be better.)
