I figured I would start a topic (or lead the way in non entertainment topic starting) with at least one weekly topic of the non-tv/movie sort.

 

Since there are so many couples on the boards, I thought a fun topic would be how you were asked/how you asked someone to marry you...oh and if they said yes.

Haha... have I ever shared mine? It's not for the faint of heart!

 

Chris and I were cuddled in bed watching "My Big, Fat Greek Wedding" and during the proposal scene (which is also a sex scene) he asked me how I would react to being proposed to like that.

 

I mentioned that I wouldn't be able to share the full story with my grandparents, that's for sure!

 

Then he asked me, but I thought he was just joking. So, half jokingly I said, "of course!"

 

Then he pulled out the ring.

 

And, erm, I won't tell you the rest of the story! :shock:

 

(But we've been married just over a year now... he proposed 3 years ago next week.)

*lol* and no full story for the rest of us either I suppose :)

 

(really, I'm ok with that). And that's pretty sweet.
