hmm this is tough

I don't like including sitcoms and such in lists like these since they lack a story but if I run out of shows I'll start throwing them in

my list is in no particular order (except #1)

 

1. Breaking Bad

2. Dexter

3. 24

4. Game of Thrones

5. Sons of Anarchy

6. Stargate Universe

7. Modern Marvels (I'm dead serious that show is amazing)

8. Weeds

9. Law & Order SVU

9.5. Nip/Tuck

10. Still Standing

 

I know there are other shows that I could mention like Prison Break which I never finished or Lie to Me or The Walking Dead

but really I just haven't seen enough of them to honestly put them in a top ten

 

Dexter and Weeds is starting to get kind of ehhhh but they're still ALRIGHT

just not like their earlier seasons

Nolder I REALLY like your list except Weeds. The show was really strong for the first two seasons and then really went off the rails.

Honorable Mentions:

X-Files - Favorite from childhood but just not good enough to make it

Arrested Development - Maybe the funniest show ever on TV

Justified - I love this show

Game of Thrones - Loving it, but not sure I can call it an all time favorite so far.

Dexter - Really close to moving into top 10

Buffy - Considered but hard to put in top 10.

Star Trek: TNG - Love it from my childhood.

Sherlock - With only 3 stellar episodes it is hard to consider this early.

Scrubs - To bad the last two seasons ruined it.

Friends - Dramas usually beat out comedies for me.

Downton Abbey - I loved the first season.

however I like each of the characters enough that it doesn't really matter how dumb the show gets

Seasons one and two were the best. Three wasn't terrible; Doug's shenanigans kept me entertained. Four and Five sucked. Six was on par with three. Haven't seen any of Seven.

I remember watching a couple seasons of Weeds and really enjoying it. I always liked the uncle, can't remember his name, but he was good comedic relief. The little kid was a good actor too.

 

Then... it just got weird. Sometime during the entire tunnel to Mexico drug-lord girlfriend story arc.
