Does anyone in the prominent Black Tower listen to Sabaton? A friend recommended the group to me and I love them! I need to share my obsession with someone.

They are power metal... but tbh I´m currently only listening to four songs lol. Ghost Division, Art of War, Panzer Kampf and Primo Victoria. They go on repeat until my bf yells at me to listen to something else. Then I put on some Tool and he tells me to stop =/

I´ve listened to Tobias Sammet´s Avantasia project. They are alright but I like the lead singer´s voice to be more powerful and the tones he is singing in to be lower. That´s just a preference I have so although the lyrics and music around it can be good, the voice is meh. That´s why I love Ghost Division, great voice and background voices <3

O, and if you like Power metal, then I think you'll like Blind Guardian, and also DragonForce (if you like FAST, and don't mind the songs are more like each other than most metal. There is much more difference than in some other types of music). And could someone also advice bands to me? I haven't listen Metal very long, but I like it VERY MUCH.

I like Blind Guardian, although listening to other bands has made me think that his voice is abit too light for me.

Hmm I dk. I listen from everything from Three Doors Down, Lady Gaga and Enya to System of a Down, Tool, Disturbed, Era, Coheed and Cambria, Blind Guardian, Serj Tankian, Korn, Nightwish and Rammstein. But I´m always on the lookout for new groups =)

You've got a nice selection there. Do you ever venture over to the heavier side?

Why don't we just use this thread for all Power Metal discussing? Or is it better to make a new thread for it? I certainly want a thread about it.
