Greetings to one and all

Greetings and salutations. I don't know why it took me so long to stumble into this little corner of Randland heaven, but I am here now. Thankfully.

I am relatively new to Robert Jordan's amazing world having just started reading a little under a year ago. A friend suggested the books to me while I was recovering from knee surgery. I started with "New Spring" and have been hooked ever since. I rate these books right up there with Tolkien's amazing visions and that is the greatest compliment I can pay any books. There is just something magical about the phrase:

"The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again. In one Age, called the Third Age by some, an Age yet to come, an Age long past, a wind rose.... The wind was not the beginning. There are neither beginnings nor endings to the turning of the Wheel of time.

But it was a beginning."

It sends shivers up and down my spine. Hope to get to know you all real soon.
