What is your favorite non-human race?

Featured Replies

Quite a few races have been invented in SF&F. Which one is your fave? I've had a liking for R. A. Salvatore's dark elves since I began reading his stuff. I think my favorite of all-time, though, are the Star Trek Andorians. They always looked incredibly cool to me, and I thought they were the best aliens Trek ever came up with even before The Next Generation began, despite the fact that nothing was done to develop them culturally until Enterprise came along. Once the prequel began to do some episodes featuring them, I was really happy because I felt they'd been overlooked for a long time.

Raymond E. Feist's Valheru, Dragon Riders with the power of the Gods (well, almost), i mean how cool would that be.

or Sarumans Uruk-khai, from the films, so much cooler than the book versions. They r the most bad-ass looking group of soldiers ever

I have to agree with Jon Paul. Tolkien's Elves takes the cake for me. After them...do dragons count?
