After being disappointed by the latest installment of Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series, I realized I needed to find myself a new fantasy series to become encapsulated in. Fortunately, I chose this one, and half way through the first book, I can already tell that I will become an incredibly dedicated fan. I've never been a part of any type of novel-based community, but felt like a simple reading of this series would be insufficient. Looking very forward to reading more of this series and exploring more of Dragonmount!

I've only reached about half of the first book of Song of Ice and Fire myself... but it wasn't because it was disappointing but rather my lack of consistancy lol

 

I'm glad you picked WoT to read because it really is a fabulous series. When I started reading the series I had a bit of a hard time getting through that first book, but mostly due to a language gap. But from about the second book I got seriously hooked and I was relieved I didn't give up and kept pushing myself to finish it ^_^

 

What do you see yourself interested in within the site? There's the discussion area, the social groups and the rp groups. I hail from the social and rp side myself so if you need any help my PM box is open :)

Eye of the World surelly hooks once you reach the part when Emond's field is attacked and after Moraine's story of Manetheren there is no going back.

 

I suggest you keep away from Discussions because they contain a lot of spoilers so You could join Social Groups or RP Groups. They don't have many spoilers. On second thoughts RP Groups would contain things that haven't come in the first book.

 

Dragonmount was the first community I joined and it is one of the best places to start.

These Social Groups include, but are not limited by; the Aiel, The White Tower, The Black Tower, the Ogier, and Shayol Ghul.

If you are interested, post what you like best in The Wheel of Time series, and then you can be given suggestions as to which ones of the Social Groups on Dragonmount that you might like. Dragonmount also has roleplay forums for those whom want to immerse themselves in character into the most fascinating fantasy world ever created, the world of Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time.
