So how do you think the DO stands up to other villains? I would say he is obviously more powerful than say Sauron

or Voldemort. Less powerful than Morgoth. Morgoth loose in Randland would have been very bad for them. Sauron would have been as bad as the DO bound I would think. Torak is pretty powerful as well since he is a god, though he doesn't really seem to do much. Brona (aka The Warlock Lord) from Shannara seems pretty lame to me now heh. What do you think?

The Dreadlords from Raymond E. Feists are very powerful very evil beings from The Void which are intent on destroying... well, basically everything, all of the Higher and Lower Realms. Their touch sucks the life out of every living thing, humans animals plantlife etc.

Easy--Big Brother in 1984. I know Big Brother isn't a character so much as the symbol of the rulers, so I could say O'Brien instead. Either way, Big Brother/O'Brien is the most terrible villain in all imaginative literature, for one simple reason: HE WINS.
