But that is a paradox. He wants to know what the post is he has to act to as if it doesn't exist, and then he acts as if it doesn't exist, so he looks to the next one, but then he has to act as if that one doesn't exist too. And so on. Maybe not a paradox, but at least something weird.

It's just an american thing where we acknowledge that we're ignoring something happened, with out saying, "I acknowledge that you want me to ignore that previous event that just happened"

 

Usually it goes like this:

Person B says, "See what?"

 

Persona A nods and says, "Exactly"
